WARCAT powerlifting Meet
very frequently asked questions
Are there any requirements to compete?
All USA Powerlifting meets require that competitors are USA Powerlifting members. You can purchase your annual membership on their website http://usapowerlifting.com Membership is usually not required at the time of registration but will need to be sent to the meet director at least a week before the competition date.
I am a first-time competitor, is there anything I need to know before registering?
Our meets fill up FAST. Make sure to set a timer on your phone to register right when it opens to secure your spot! Other than that, you can refer to this first-time lifter guide on the USA Powerlifting website: https://www.usapowerlifting.com/lifters-corner/new-lifter-tips/
Also review the rulebook here: https://www.usapowerlifting.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/USAPL-Rulebook-v2021.1.pdf
We also recommend working with a powerlifting coach who knows the rules for USAPL well to help you through your meet prep. If you do not have one, feel free to reach out to us!
I am on the waitlist for one of the meets. Can I automatically be transferred to the roster for an upcoming meet where registration has not opened yet?
Unfortunately not. Each meet has its own registration and waitlist. You will need to register for each meet separately.
I registered for a meet but I cannot compete anymore, can I get a refund or meet credit?
There are no refunds issued. Once you click the submit button on the registration form, you accept that your registration fees will be forfeited if you cannot make it to the competition for any reason. Meet credits are only issued during the extreme circumstance that we cannot host the meet on the set dates.
Are spectators allowed at the meet?
Yes, spectators will be allowed. Limitations on spectators will be determined by the meet director closer to the meet date depending on the status of the current county's COVID-19 restrictions.
I would like to drop out of this meet. Can I give my spot to a friend who would like to compete in my place?
No, we cannot transfer your spot to a person of your choice. Priority will be given to whoever is next on the waitlist for that respective meet.
Will you be live-streaming your meet?
Yes, the meet will be live-streamed on our Youtube Channel and a link will be posted on our Instagram page.
I missed the registration and now the meet is full. Is there anything I can do to get in?
Unfortunately, once our meets are full, there is little that we can do. Sometimes there may be a waitlist, but chances of getting into the meet from the waitlist are NOT guaranteed regardless of what number you are on the waitlist.
Do you do any meets other than USAPL?
No. USAPL only
Is your apparel approved to be worn at USA Powerlifting meets?
Yes, since we are affiliated with USA Powerlifting, any WARCAT Shirts or SInglets are allowed to be worn on the platform.
Refer to the USA Powerlifting Handbook for more info: READ HANDBOOK HERE
